Casa do Professor

A Casa do Professor is a professional association, founded in 1979 and with public utility status since 1999, aimed at supporting educators and teachers of all levels of education, through the promotion of social, scientific, educational and cultural initiatives. In the last three years, the entity has certified more than 6,500 educators and teachers across the country, providing a public service of recognized merit, namely for its contribution to the quality and innovation of the education and training system in Portugal.

In the development of this objective, the Pedagogical Innovation Center of the Casa do Professor, given the need to respond to the complex reality of schools, based on the best national and international strategies and on the identification and experimentation of innovative practices, contributing to the definition of educational policies in line with the importance of redefining the role of teachers and the demands which are placed on schools, on top of which and ultimately is academic success.

Currently, the Pedagogical Innovation Center works with more than 50 partners (including Ministries of Education, Universities, Municipalities, Technological Partners and Pedagogical Development Laboratories), originating from more than ten nationalities.

A INconference represents the recognition that the institution, through the Pedagogical Innovation Center, attributes to the professional development of teachers, namely in the cultural, personal and human aspects, a dimension that is not dissociated from the international project(IN)school – developing skills for Life.

APsi

The Psychology Associationhttps://apsi.uminho.pt/) of the University of Minho is an association providing Psychology services to the community, and is the result of a partnership between the University of Minho, through the School of Psychology and the Social Action Services, and the Municipal Councils of Braga and Guimarães.

The professional collaborators of the Association integrate professors and researchers from the Faculty of Psychology and other collaborators outside the School.

In addition to the psychological consultation aspect, APsi-UMinho also encourages the creation of programs and partnerships for interaction with society in the various fields of application of Psychology. Through its extensive scientific know-how , APsi-UMinho supports the development, implementation and implementation of innovative projects in different contexts.

Currently, APsi-UMinho is involved in several projects aimed at promoting Children's Mental Health, and promoting positive development skills in young adolescents, among others (https://apsi.uminho.pt/projetos-e-inovacao/).

The Inconference represents an opportunity to reflect on the importance of integrating teaching/learning methods based on scientific evidence and will open the discussion to different perspectives on their implementation in the educational context.
